Activity: Non-clinical psycho-bodily support
1. Nature of the support
I declare that I have been informed that Interactive Psycho-Bodily Analysis (APCI) is an approach to psycho-bodily support that integrates body-oriented work (breathing, movement, bodily sensations, and muscular release) with emotional and psychological exploration. This approach is based on the premise that bodily tensions may be linked to emotional experiences and psychological patterns, and that body-oriented work can facilitate the awareness and expression of emotional content. It is a process that may share elements with approaches such as bioenergetics, Gestalt bodywork, or biofeedback, while operating within its own distinct framework.
This support:
-
Does not constitute medical or clinical psychological care.
-
Does not replace medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment when such treatment is necessary.
-
Does not involve clinical diagnosis or healthcare intervention.
-
Falls within the scope of personal or therapeutic support that is non-clinical in nature.
2. Nature of the process and potential effects
-
I understand that this type of work may involve activation at a bodily, emotional, and psychological level.
-
During or after sessions, the following may occur, among other things:
-
In some cases, body-oriented work may lead to temporary physical effects, such as fatigue, mild pain, or, occasionally, minor skin marks (such as redness or bruising). These effects are typically transient.
-
Emotional activation (anxiety, sadness, crying, irritation).
-
Intense bodily sensations (tremors, tension, heat, release, fatigue).
-
The emergence of memories or emotional content associated with past experiences.
-
I understand that these responses may be part of the process and vary from person to person.
3. Indications, limitations, and situations where it may not be advisable
I have been informed that this work may require individual assessment or adaptation in certain situations, specifically in the presence of:
a) Acute medical conditions
-
Fever or active infections
-
Acute inflammatory processes
-
Unstabilized physical illnesses
b) Unstabilized psychiatric conditions
-
Active psychosis
-
Unstabilized manic or severe depressive episodes
-
Severe emotional dysregulation without clinical supervision
c) Severe trauma or high levels of dysregulation
-
Highly activated complex trauma
-
Intense dissociation or frequent flashbacks
d) Pregnancy
-
May require specific adaptations depending on the stage and individual circumstances
e) Unevaluated physical conditions
-
Acute injuries
-
Undiagnosed chronic pain
-
Neurological conditions without medical management
f) Significant emotional instability
-
Acute life crises (recent bereavement, recent breakup, etc.)
-
Lack of a support network or high levels of emotional instability
-
I understand that in these cases, the work may require adaptation or may not be appropriate without additional clinical support.
4. Voluntary consent
-
Participation in this process is entirely voluntary.
-
I have received sufficient information to understand its nature, and I may ask questions at any time.
-
I understand that consent is ongoing and may be withdrawn at any time, without the need for justification.
-
The participant understands that body-oriented work is voluntary and that they may adjust the intensity or stop any exercise at any time.
5. Continuity of the process and closure
I understand that I may pause or end the process whenever I wish.
I have been informed that, in deep psycho-corporeal (mind-body) work, it may be advisable to have one or more closing sessions to facilitate the integration of the process—especially if there has been a high level of emotional or physical activation.
6. Participant’s Responsibility
I commit to:
-
Communicating any significant physical or emotional discomfort during the sessions
-
Informing [the professional] of any significant changes in my health status or medication

Participating actively and responsibly in my own process

Exceptions apply in cases established by law, such as:
A serious risk to one’s own life or physical integrity, or that of others
Legal or judicial requirements
8. Acceptance
I declare that my physical, psychological, and emotional state is compatible with this activity; I am participating voluntarily and at my own risk, and I assume the obligation to communicate any relevant circumstance that might affect my participation.
I have read, understood, and accepted the information above, and I provide my free and informed consent to participate in the process.
